Private Shopping now available

 

💚Book your private shopping appointment at West Wind.

The holidays are fast approaching and everyone is trying to get their shopping done early this year. We know that some households have vulnerable family members and are not comfortable shopping during regular hours when other customers are in the store. To accommodate the needs of our customers who want to shop in person but are trying to minimize all contact with people outside of their bubble, we are now offering private appointments.

Appointments are available Tuesday - Saturday in half hour blocks before we open in the morning.

Appointments are available for individuals or for small groups all in the same "bubble". Mask wearing is still required.*

Call, Facebook message, or email us to book your private morning appointment.

*As always, customers who are unable to wear a mask may call or email their order for contact-free curbside pick-up -- virtual facetime shopping is available if needed.

Safety measures to keep us all safe

We understand that even with increased safety measures in place, some of our valued customers will prefer to use contact-free curbside pick-up. We will continue to offer this service for as long as needed, and of course, shipping will also be available for our out-of-town customers. The safety and comfort of our customers and team is always our top priority.
We are taking precautions to keep our customers and team members safe.
Hand sanitizer is available for customer use at our front door and cash area. Please use it!
We will be disinfecting our counter area between customers, and cleaning high contact areas like door handles, railings, etc frequently throughout the day.
A plexiglass barrier has been installed at our cash area.
Team members will be hand washing and using hand sanitizer frequently and have face masks for their personal use.
Our fitting room will be available if an item absolutely has to be tried on, and the room will be disinfected after each use. Items that have been tried on and not purchased will be put in the backroom for 72 hours before being put back out for sale.
Floor markers have been installed throughout the shop to encourage social distancing, and signage is posted to remind customers to stay 6 ft away (one moose length) from others.
We will limit the number of customers in our shop to ensure social distancing protocols can be followed.
What can you do to help keep everyone safe?
If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 please do not enter the shop. Call us to place an order instead.
Hand sanitizer is available, please use it.
We encourage customers to wear a protective facemask. (We'll have some super cute ones available soon!)
Use the moose tracks throughout the shop to stay safely away from other people.
⚠️Please only touch items you plan to purchase. Our team members will be happy to check prices, find sizes, to help minimize the handling of items.
⚠️Please avoid trying garments on unless absolutely necessary.
Debit and credit card purchases are preferred over cash.
If we all do our part we can safely navigate these challenging times. Over the coming days and weeks, we will make any necessary changes to our protocols to best meet the needs of our customers while keeping all of us safe.

Re-opening for foot traffic

We are open for CURBSIDE pickup this Victoria day long weekend. 

Friday 11-4
Saturday 11-4

As per the Ontario government's guidelines, we will be re-opening our store to foot traffic on Tuesday, May 19.

Rest assured, we will be taking precautions to keep our customers and team members safe. 

Hand sanitizer will be available for customer use.

We will be disinfecting our counter area between customers, and cleaning high contact areas like door handles, railings, etc frequently throughout the day.

Markers (moose tracks, of course) are being placed throughout the shop to encourage social distancing, and signage will be hung to remind customers to stay 6 ft away from others.

We understand that even with increased safety measures in place, some of our valued customers will prefer to use contact-free curbside pick-up.  We will continue to offer this service for as long as needed, and of course, shipping will also be available for our out-of-town customers.

Temporary Closure due to COVID 19


After much discussion with our team and fellow business owners in town, we have made the very difficult decision to close our shop for the time being. 😢

Thank you to all of our amazing customers who have shown us so much support through these difficult times. You guys are the best. 💕 The last of our out-of-town orders will be shipped out Monday morning.

Important information for our Pet Food customers


A message to our customers who rely on us for your pet's food.

We know your pet's health is important and that continuity in their diet is essential. We have a plan in place to get us all through these challenging times. A little bit of pre-planning now will help mitigate disruption should we experience temporary closure or supply chain issues.

Firstly, if you need pet food but find yourself self-quarantined due to possible exposure to COVID-19, you are exhibiting symptoms, or have a compromised immune system, we have a plan. We can accommodate NO-CONTACT purchasing of your pet food and have several options available to get your pet's food to you safely. Please call us at 613-332-1196 or text 613-334-0285 if you are in need of NO-CONTACT assistance.

Second, if you are in a position where you can purchase a bulk supply of your pet's food in advance and you wish to do so, now is the time to let us know. If you would like to place a bulk order please contact us before March 19.

We place orders frequently based on our usual customer needs. We do not have extra inventory on hand to accommodate large purchases that are well beyond what you would normally purchase. To ensure we have pet food available for all of our customers, we ask that you contact us in advance if you need a larger than normal quantity of food.

Finally, if we do find ourselves in a position where we have to shut down for a few weeks, we will do our best to ensure that no-contact pick-ups/drop-offs can be accommodated and that we will have a reasonable inventory available to get us all through.

With a bit of preparation, we can all navigate these challenging times.
