Woolrich for her: The Fairmount Waffle Dress
This wear-with-anything tunic length dress made of Woolrich's popular waffle fabric is a great choice for fall days. Cozy cowl neckline and cover-stitch seaming. Ribbed cuffs and hem. Made of a soft cotton/polyester blend with just a touch of spandex for shape retention. Pair this with leggings and your favourite boots and you're good to go!

The Charley Brown

Woolrich for him, the "Charley Brown": With a vintage pattern lifted from Woolrich's archives and a wind-resistant wool blend woven at their woolen mill in Pennsylvania, the Charley Brown symbolizes Woolrich's classic outdoor heritage. Washable wool shell is lined with warm polyester/acrylic Sherpa, then insulated with 60 grams of microfiber insulation. Upper chest pockets have button-closure flaps; easy access lower hand warmer pockets. Inside, a security pocket features a mobile cord port on the left, and an internal button-through utility pocket on the right.

Rescue Fundraisers

 The Newf Friends 2016 calendars are now available in our shop. 100 % of the proceeds go directly to Newf Friends Rescue. We also have greeting cards and shirts in support of Newf Friends, and tees for HART too. We have just a few books of raffle tickets left for HART's Grand for Growlers raffle coming up in a few weeks, come by and enter to win and support HART.

We are also collecting pledges for the Woof Walk that Sandra and our foster Buster will be participating in. Drop by and show your support of rescue!

Another week of summer

Well, it's September already, but thanks to a late Labour Day weekend we feel like we've been given an extra week of summer vacation. There's still lots of summertime fun to be had in cottage country so enjoy another week at the cottage, sit on the dock, swim in the lake, roast marshmallows over a campfire, and be sure to drop by West Wind to see all of our new arrivals. You're going to love the pieces that have arrived over the last few days!

Canoe head

There were a lot of Canoe Head and Portage jokes being cracked by customers as Jim had the fun job of bringing this large antique canoe into the shop, through the crowds, up a narrow flight of stairs with a 90 degree turn, and onto the second floor. We do love to have fun props in our displays, even if they are tricky to set up!

Year round Christmas room

Throughout cottage season customers visiting the area for summer vacation started their holiday shopping at our store. We love it when happy customers find "just the right thing" for that special someone and proudly declare that holiday shopping has officially begun. Many families have a summer tradition of beginning their shopping at West Wind, taking their finds back to the city and surprising their loved ones with memories of the cottage.

Our popular Christmas room is open year round and is full of whimsical holiday items. We've had numerous holiday orders arrive in the last few weeks including new collections of cottage themed ornaments, candles, woodland decor, and many new gnomes and Santas.
