Newf Rescue Calendars!

Finally, the 2009 Newf Friends Newf Rescue calendars are ready to go!

The calendars are the same style as we used last year for the Canadian Newf Rescue calendars - extra large 12 x 18, high quality, high gloss paper, metal spiral binding across the top and over 50 full colour images!

Most of you will recognize at least some of this year's gorgeous models who include Matilda, Marin, Darcy, Volare, Murphy, Mary, Neptune, Ozzy, Bower, Zoë, Caera, and of course, no Newf rescue calendar would be complete without everyone's favourite Basset hound, Floyd.

Calendars can be picked up in Bancroft, ON at West Wind or purchased ONLINE

All proceeds go directly to Newf Friends in Ontario, Canada to assist Newfoundland Dogs and Newf mixes in need. Newf Friends is a foster based Newfoundland Dog Rescue group working in partnership with the wonderful team of volunteers at HART

A Great Time for Everyone

Saturday October 4th was HART's Woof Walk at millennium park. We were there to show our support and to provide some fun for all of the participants. As a HART volunteer as well as the co-founder of Newf Friends Newfoundland Dog Rescue I was in attendance with a few of my dogs, and several of my friends made the journey to Bancroft with their Newfs to help out for the day.

 

Annabelle was also in attendance and she took turns giving cart rides to some of the spectators as well. Fun was had by all and prizes we donated were given to the people who brought in the highest and second highest amount of pledges. It was a great day spent raising much needed funds for a great cause.

Bfofo is finally in stock

Our Bfofo order is in stock now with several new pieces for your fall wardrobe. We expect more to arrive from Bfofo in about 2 weeks time.

Also new this week are several new lines of knitted hats and scarfs, leather gloves and suede mittens. We've got lots of styles and colours to choose from.

2 degrees this morning!

Frost warnings.....2 degrees overnight....time to pull out the Woolrich blankets. Good news, we just got a shipment in of new designs and fabrics that are sure to keep you warm and cozy on those cool evenings.

Also new this week are Kamik boots - these made in Canada rubber boots are perfect for walking the dog on wet fall mornings.

Our Woolrich children's jackets are finally here - red and black check "lumber jackets" are back by popular demand! These comfortable soft fleece jackets are perfect for your little cottager in training.

We've also restocked on jewelery, bath accessories, Lampe Berger, Hatley clothing, aluminum drink containers and more. Be sure to drop in to see all of the newest arrivals.

Fall is in the Air

We've noticed a few leaves changing over the last week or so, and the temperature has started to drop. Fall is in the air.

With the arrival of cooler weather people's thoughts start turning towards the coming holiday season and getting a head start on Christmas shopping. We have received many of our holiday orders already for early shoppers and have a large selection of gifts, clothing and unique stocking stuffer ideas in stock!

Some of our new arrivals include:

• Loungers - our popular ankle length fleece loungers are now in stock. We are offering 4 patterns and 5 colour choices this year, including new ash grey!
• Our Brickstone order is finally here! We are restocked on Caramelized Onion, cheese pleasers, sauces and more
• We have received a large shipment of art work feature a variety of new images at excellent prices
• More jewelery orders have arrived
• We have a new line of outdoor themed gifts including a computer mouse shaped like a fishing lure, giant decorative fishing lures, patio lights shaped like fish, fishing rod shaped wiener forks (seriously!), thermometers, rural mailboxes shaped like fish and loons, and more!
• Several new styles of fall candles are in stock now
• Hatley PJ's in the new Steel Moose design are finally in stock!
• Get rid of those plastic bottles! We are now carrying a line of Stainless Steel drink bottles in a variety of colours and sizes, including fun designs for children's lunch boxes!
  
• Our second batch of reading glasses have arrived in a variety of styles and colours that are perfect for fall.

Dues to the overwhelming response to the newest line of Hatley children's clothing we will be receiving several new items within the next week or so. Also, we've had so many requests for clothing in girls sizes 8-12 and we are thrilled to be bringing in a line from Hatley for this size range!

With the end of summer upon us we'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for another great cottage season. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.

As the summer season slowly comes to an end we are gearing up for a busy fall and Christmas season. Gift show orders are pouring in daily now and we are restocked with all sorts of new product lines, and everyone's old favourites too.

School is out, the weather is hot and Canada Day Weekend is finally here! Summer has officially begun!

We're geared up and ready to go, busting at the seams with new products. New arrivals this week include:
